P S C Policies and Procedures:

P S C has established a detailed Operations Manual available for use by all employees. The PPM details the methodologies, which all P S C employees adhere to in the execution lf all company activities.
The Operations Manual also highlights the responsibilities of all P S C departments on a day-to-day basis and for the various sequence of activities that take place prior to, for the duration of, and at completion of any project. The procedures that affect client solutions are highlighted below:

Accounting and Finance

Accounting is the central financial point of every P S C Office. This department is responsible for all accounting obligations, including bookkeeping and reporting of the area offices, cash flow management, for both the transactions relating to the office as well as for any project. This department is also responsible for all relationship’s and dealings with our banks. Its cooperation with the other departments of the area office is vital for the smooth operation and execution of project’s.

Engineering

The engineering department is responsible for the design of the job, the generation of drawings, as well as the regulatory approvals. This department also managers the process of obtaining the appropriate permits from local authorities. This includes any revisions or changes to the plans in order to fulfill regulatory requirements. The engineering department also issues “For Construction” drawings, drawings for specialized work (e.g., electromechanical, plumbing, HVAC etc) irrespective of whether the work is done in-house or outsourced. Engineering also prepares job shop designs for more detailed instructions.

Management

Management has several roles in the operation of the area office. It is responsible for the performance and longevity of the area office; it links together all the functions, sets strategy, and gives direction. It resolves differences, clarifies the company’s policies and rules, and makes the ultimate decision on activities that fall outside the normal operations of the area office.

Personnel

The personnel department is responsible for the recruiting, hiring, training and development process of the human capital of the area office. Additionally, they are also responsible for the general administration of the area office including information technology.s

Business Development

The sales, marketing and estimation department’s task is to promote the area office by creating and maintaining links with clients, securing the flow of leads, converting leads into projects, estimating, bidding, negotiating and finally signing ( closing ) projects.

Procurement

The procurement department is the area office’s interaction with the supply market. Procurement has an expertise in the selection of materials. Not only do they execute material requests but they also have a broad knowledge of the market, the available supplies, and their comparative pricing.

Construction

The construction department is the core of our business. It is the point where all the area office operations merge. The construction department is responsible for the execution of jobs that the area office contractually undertakes; the coordination of human resources, materials, equipment and subcontractors necessary to bring a job to completion.

Cost Control

The cost control department is the financial planner and controller of a job. It forecasts the cost of a job based on the drawings that will be used for construction, monitors the costs incurred, and records these costs against the budgeted expenses.

Planning

Planning designs the “road map” for a job. It plans the sequence of works on the site, the completion thresholds and delivery date. It also reflects on how the cash flow is affected by this plan. Planning monitors the progress on the site and makes the appropriate adjustments to maintain a realistic and up to date “reflection of reality”.

Quality Assurance & Control

The QA/QC takes a three-phase approach to quality assurance and quality control to eliminate opportunities for error, thus reducing or eliminating defects and their associated costs.

Health, Safety and Environment

This department executes and overseas the company policies in reference to Health, Safety, and the Environment.

Contracts Management

The contracts management department is responsible for the integrity and legality of all contracts that are bound to the area office.
